Your second task

So far you' ve been "telling" me about difficult decisions in your life, but let's try something different now. (Since nobody asked me about mine, I'll skip that part and move on:))

What I would like you to do next is to:

1. Read the following situations,
2. Decide who (in your opinion) has found himself in the most difficult situation and why? Choose one situation you liked best and write what should the person (who is in dilemma) do.

Again write a brief comment.

1. SITUATION

Mandy's best friend Alex confides to her that he has commited a crime and Mandy promises him never to tell anyone about it. Soon Mandy discovers that an innocent person has been accused of the crime and she asks Alex to give himself up. He refuses and reminds her of her promise. Mandy doesn't know what to do.

What do you think she should do???

2. SITUATION

While shopping Kate is noticing an old woman, a tramp, stuffing 2 loaves of bread into her purse.
Kate feels sorry for her but she can't let her steal. Or can she??? What do you think? Should Kate report her or should she do something else???

3. SITUATION

Tim is an inmate in a concentration camp. A sadistic guard is about to shoot his son who tried to escape and wants Tim to shoot him. The guard tells him that if he dosen't do that, he will not only kill his son, but some other innocent people as well.

Do you think Tim should do what he is told to do???

4. SITUATION

John is on a boat and nearby are three large rocks with a person on one, and things on the others, waiting to be rescued. John cannot rescue all, only one. He has to choose between the following:

a) a bottle with the cure for cancer that would save thousands of lives,
b) a bottle with the cure for HIV that would save thousands of lives,
c) his fatally ill brother.

I am very pleased to see your comments girls (Aleksandra and Manca). You really shouldn't let Samir do all the work:) I must say I read both your compositions as soon as I came home and I am really surprised at how good you are at writing. You both wrote great comments!!! I especially liked Aleksandra's last line - very imaginative and funny ending!!! and Manca's statement that..."all my next decisions may not be the right ones... but in the end, they will not be the wrong ones either if a just follow my heart." Excellent!!

You see, the aim of this blogging isn't just giving you some homework to do or checking your grammar, but also giving you an opportunity to express your thoughts nad perhaps practice your English somehow differently. So again, don't worry about mistakes or silly ideas!

Še preden vas zasposlim z nalogo, ki sledi, naj vam povem še to, da lahko komentirate ne le "moje" objave, ampak tudi komentarje, misli, mnenja vaših sošolk in sošolcev, ki jih bodo v ta blog napisali. Postopek je vedno isti: Klikneš v okence, ki vsebuje določeno objavo in nato klikneš comments. Komentirate lahko večkrat!!!!!
